Editing Week 2

Some problems that we’ve hit while editing have involved the alien itself. My team pushed towards the alien effects being added in post while I pushed for more practical effects with the alien effects being captured straight on camera. The effects in question mainly have to do with the aliens' face. We originally planned to have the face superimposed on the actor but it looked less than believable once the process was finished. So the team has decided to conduct a reshoot with a more practical setting of an actor wearing some kind of alien mask.

So far this week I’ve spent a little over an hour or two editing and compiling all the footage together (This doesn’t include the time spent on testing effects for the alien’s appearance). So far it has mainly been myself editing with Josh checking over the final project to give his approval or criticism. Next week we mainly consist of shooting additional scenes with aliens to improve the flow and appearance of the film.
